Laura & Cam – Old Bridge, South Petherton in Somerset

Smiles! A whole day of them from start to finish, littered with a few happy tears here and there; Laura & Cam’s beautiful Somerset wedding was incredible!

Laura had her bridal preparations with her awesome Bridal party team at her family home, hair & makeup, flower arrival, gift exchanges, music writing, speech prepping, ribbon tying, glasses of bubbly liquid and plenty of laughs. I left Bridal preparations with Laura’s nearest and dearest having just seen her descend in her amazing dress looking absolutely stunning.

I joined Cam at St. James Church in Yeovil just as a huge rain storm hit, he was looking super sharp and seemed really cool, calm and collected. It wasn’t long before more guests arrived, filled the seats and Laura was descending the centre isle for their lovely ceremony.

Post ceremony the guests showered Laura and Cam with confetti as they left the church to get into their awesome wedding car. We were off to the fabulous Old Bridge in South Petherton (a special place to me!) where we soaked up the sun with a wonderful lawn drinks reception.

The Wedding Breakfast took place in the beautiful marque, followed by some epic speeches and… a graduation!! Yes! Laura’s Brother had selflessly not attended his degree graduation in favour of Laura’s wedding so Laura had secretly planned a ceremony for him; his reaction was priceless and was so appreciative.

As the sun set we snuck off to see the last rays of the sun for the day with some sheep whilst the guests had an absolute hoot at the best photobooth EVER Gertie the Photo Bus! My favourite knitted character was a tough choice between the seagull and carrots! The seagull for sure.

The evening celebrations were full of energy with epic dance moves followed by some night portraits in the wonderful woods at Old Bridge and a spectacular sparkler walk out.

Hair Stylist: Lizzy Jarrett of Elizabeth Jarrett Hairdressing – Lizzy is a superb hair stylist, she did a wonderful job for my own wedding in 2017!

Venue: Old Bridge owned and managed by the lovely John & Liz Blake, where I had my wedding reception in 2017, we can not speak highly enough of John and Liz’s approach to their venue; nothing to big or too small that they won’t help you with or know someone that can, such dedicated and all round lovely people with their gorgeous venue.
