Sophie & James St Andrews Church & Old Oak Farm, Curry Rival (Somerset)

The day started for me with Sophie’s preparations. Everyone was so relaxed – it was great, everything timed with perfection. Time flew and before anyone knew it, the awesome wedding convertible turned up to whisk Sophie off to the St. Andrews Church in High Ham where James was eagerly waiting.  After a wonderful ceremony in the beautiful church, it was off outside for a British Army Officer sword arch and confetti tunnel before heading off to the reception at the stunning Old Oak Farm.

Old Oak Farm is perfect for anyone who wants to put a more personal stamp on their wedding. This is my second time to Old Oak Farm and it looked so different to the first due to the amount of customization that can be done with this very versatile venue. Sophie and James had such a beautiful entrance to the marquee with rustic decoration alongside stunning British plants arranged in pots.

The meal was a wonderful antipasti and meat skewers – perfect for the heat of the day. The meal flowed into the speeches with some wonderful words from the father of the bride and a hilarious roasting of the groom by the best men!  The cake was cut with a sword! YES! An actual sword!

The sun began to set as we headed out from some beautiful bride and groom portraits before returning back for a lovely first dance. The celebrations continued on the dance floor and outside around the fire as fresh pizza was being served.  It was truly another perfect wedding at Old Oak Farm. Thank you, Sophie and James, for letting me be part of your beautiful day!
